Rock Tape Review/Giveaway

I’m always excited to try a new product and have something for you. I would like talk a little about Rocktape. It is a special kind of tape known as kinesiology tape. First used by acupuncturists and chiropractors in Japan, today kinesiology tape is used by practitioners throughout the world to treat injuries and improve sports performance.

Rocktape can be used for a number of issues:
• Achilles tendonitis
• Plantar fasciitis
• Jumpers knee (PFS)
• ACL/MCL issues
• Rotator cuff
• Groin and hamstring pulls
• Lower back issues
• Shin splints
• Tennis and golf elbow

Improving Sports Performance
When applied properly, Rocktape can help athletes improve form and decrease fatigue through better blood flow. These are the two most critical aspects of increasing performance in almost any sport.

How does Rocktape work?
When it’s manufactured, a bias is introduced into the weave of the fabric so it stretches in one direction and not the other. This creates a bio-mechanical lifting mechanism that lifts the skin away from the soft tissue underneath, which allows more blood to move into an injured area to accelerate healing and recovery.

I decided to try it out on a trail run. The only thing is that because I repositioned it once, the tape on the back of my thighs did peel down a little. As long as you don’t move it once you stick it on, it’s on there because the tape on my knees did not budge! Overall, I could tell my knees weren’t as achy as they sometimes are after a trail run, so I believe it does work for helping performance and recovery.

The awesome folks at Rocktape will give one of my lucky readers a packet of Rocktape and you get to choose from the plethora of designs and colors!
